  • Bruce Phelps

    President

I’ve been a member of Christ Church for 2 years. I have been mostly involved in prison ministry outside the church but I’ve been more involved now with church related activities, especially with our bible studies. I am married to Hortencia and have been blessed to be with her for 33 years. My favorite bible verses are Ephesian 2: 8-9 and Isiah 64: 4. These address the human sin condition and God’s grace in saving us from ourselves. I enjoy reading military history and spending time at home with my wife. This is my first year on the church council and there’s a lot to learn.

I have been married to my wife Connie since 2008. I have a daughter who is 35 and 2 grandchildren; a grandson and granddaughter. Outside of church, I enjoy sports, fishing and hopefully soon be able to get back into hunting. I’ve attended Christ Church for 2 years and a member for 1 year. Currently I am serving my second year on the missions committee and most recently the constitution committee. My favorite Bible verses are Philippians 4:13, Psalms 86:5 and Romans 8:28.

  • Nick Brown

I am Nick Brown, and have been married to my wife, Katrina, for over 27 years. We have been blessed with seven children, ages 11 to 26, five of whom are still home. Two of our daughters are married, and we have now been blessed with five grandchildren, as well!

I like to hunt and fish, and basically do anything outdoors. I also like to umpire girls’ fast-pitch softball.

I have been a believer since I was 19 years old. My brother led me to Christ, and I had a couple of men who became good mentors to me in my early years as a follower of Christ. A couple of my favorite verses are Romans 8:38 & 39 and John 19:30. My wife and I are currently in the Colson Fellows Program, and anticipate commissioning as a Colson Fellow in May of this year.

We have been members of Christ Church for over a year now. I love attending our Saturday morning men’s Bible study, and any opportunities for fellowship with this body of believers. Our family has also done monthly services at a nursing-care facility in Lewistown for several years; however, since the lock-downs imposed last spring, sadly we have not been able to be there for close to a year now. We pray that those doors will re-open soon.

Before coming to Christ Church, we were involved in various ways in our former church. I had served as a deacon, we were both involved in the music ministry, and we also worked with the youth group ministry.

  • Wade DeHaas

Married to Teresa Mattern DeHaas for 6 years.
