Our Elders at Christ Church

The Elders meet monthly to discuss and pray over spiritual matters of our church and seek God’s guidance in all decisions and discussions.

  • Skip Kline

Married to Lisa Kline since 2004 (16 years)

My oldest daughter Alexis Hicks is a Health & Physical Education teacher and is married to Garrett Hicks.

My middle child, Caleigh is a student at the University of

Pittsburgh majoring in Applied Developmental Psychology and Linguistics.

My youngest, Christian, is a black belt in taekwondo and an eighth grade student at JMS.

I’m a piano player and a writer. I serve as Marketing Director for JMS, a small, private, Christian School in McAlisterville, and I am the voice of Beaver Motors in all their radio advertising. I used to be a chef at Common Grounds Café and the owner/operator of a recording studio.

Favorite Bible verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Skip has attended Christ Church on and off since he was Baptized by Reverend Smith in 1970 but really began being involved as a piano player in 1984. He rededicated his life to the Lord in 2001 and has served on council, as an elder, Praise leader and as a Sunday School teacher. He has served as an elder for 15 years. “Being an Elder is not something you aspire to. It is what God has called me to do in this season of my life. I’ll serve until He calls me elsewhere or I am not reaffirmed. It is truly an honor and a privilege to serve in whatever capacity I am needed.”
